How to Quickly Setup Your Teacher Appreciation Week Wishlist

Teachers deserve to be celebrated every day. And with Teacher Appreciation Week kicking off in May, schools have a dedicated moment to rally their community to celebrate their staff.

Celebrate these heroes during Teacher Appreciation Week with a wishlist fulfillment fundraiser! How will you have the time? Even if you have just one hour, you can create and share a personal campaign to enrich your classrooms and school. Reward your teachers’ hard work!

Teacher Wishlist Setup in Just 3 Steps

  1. Start by rounding up the basic supplies, classroom upgrades, books, and more that teachers want (and let’s be real, NEED) but where the budget just isn’t there. Make sure every teacher, support staff, and enrichment classroom is represented, and gather photos of items on their wishlists.
  2. Create a separate entry for each item on your online fundraising platform. In GiveSmart, you can quickly add items with a few clicks. Login to your admin site, choose “Items” at the top, choose “+New Item”, and you are well on your way!
  3. Fill out the needed information for each wishlist item. Most of the information you need is contingent on the item itself, but a few setup steps will be the same if you are using GiveSmart. Choose “Donate” as your Type. Make the Price Type “Donation Levels.” Doing both things ensures the best setup for a wishlist. After you are all done adding the items, your list will show in the items tab of your page, as seen below.

Did you know 83% of students say a teacher has boosted their self-esteem and confidence? Our classrooms are far more than a place where reading, writing, and arithmetic are learned. Support those heroes who do far more than their job on paper, each and every day.

What our clients say

We needed a platform to make sales online and to track and display ads for our sponsors. GiveSmart was perfect. We ended up making close to $15,000 more than we had hoped for. Definite better ROI than we anticipated. The interface is easy to use and provides plenty of options to get help if needed.

The Rotary Club of South Whidbey Island

Using GS has created ease in auction bookkeeping, payments, and generating post-event thank you/tax letters. While we were online during COVID, our interactions with our GiveSmart via phone, email, and zoom were seamless. A representative always got back to us within the day. I would recommend GiveSmart to anyone doing a large online event.

MicroFinancing Partners in Africa

GiveSmart is highly flexible - you can use it for [a] simple registration and check-in, to full-scale galas with complex order forms, onsite upsells, live auctions, seating management, and more.

Hope Chest for Breast Cancer

GiveSmart is easy to use and ideal for virtual events and can be used for in-person events to manage the silent auction, seating charts, and check-in to the event. Being able to use the platform for unlimited events within the contract year is very useful and being able to add other users and volunteers for different levels of access is helpful as well.
