GiveSmart continues to operate at an elevated state of security to combat ongoing attempts by bad actors to complete fraudulent transactions on public forms. These measures serve to protect the organizations and donors who count on GiveSmart for a safe and secure online experience.  

Users may still experience the following: 

GiveSmart Events + Fundraise:

 

  • HOTFIX 8/29/25: Improved Human Verification Challenge A more modern CAPTCHA modal has replaced the prior verification model, reducing donor friction and providing stronger fraud signal detection

  • Embedded forms may be unavailable for a subset of users. If donors experience issues accessing these forms, please direct them to the public link to your GiveSmart form to complete their donation.

    • For assistance in locating the public link to your Fundraise form: https://support.givesmart.com/help/where-can-i-find-the-public-link-to-my-form

    • For assistance in locating the public link to your Events form: https://help.givesmart.com/help/safely-share-your-links

  • Limits on Rapid Repeated Actions – If someone attempts the same action (such as submitting a payment) too quickly or too many times in a row, the system may temporarily block them to stop automated testing of stolen cards.

    • Note: If a user sees the error message due to hitting the threshold they should wait 60 seconds and try again.

  • Tighter Automated Traffic Screening – We’ve increased our sensitivity to traffic that looks automated. In some cases, legitimate users may be challenged or blocked if their activity resembles high-risk patterns.

    • Note: If a legitimate user is unable to access the product, please contact our Support team at support@givesmart.com for assistance.
