What are “auction rules” and why provide them to guests?
Auction rules are basic guidelines for what to expect from the silent and live auctions. Many of these rules will include when the auction starts and closes, how and when to pick up items, guidelines about shipping items, and information on refunds.
If you have specific rules that you would like to put on your auction, it is important to maintain transparency with guests and avoid any confusion, especially before the close of the auction(s).
Many organizations will put these auction rules on their event homepage, create a custom page to highlight them, put them in a program, or post them at their event.
