03 Nov 11 Things Your Fundraising Needs [Infographic]
Fundraising. Everybody does it, but not everybody does it right. There are over 1 million nonprofits in the US alone. So with all that competition, how can you stand out so that you can make a difference?
I’ve done a little bit of research, and I think I have found the answers to all your questions (well, the question listed above anyway.) All you have to do to be good at fundraising is make sure you are F.U.N.D.R.A.I.S.I.N.G.
What do I mean? Simple. Any good fundraiser should have most, if not all of the following:
- A good foundation
- A certain uniqueness
- The nonprofit’s nature
- The appropriate donor-knowledge
- The needed resources
- A sense of openness and accountability
- A genuine passion and infatuation by the hosts
- A good story, told in a compelling manner
- The right amount of gratitude and indebtedness
- A strong network
- A gamble here or there
In other words, you just need F.U.N.D.R.A.I.S.I.N.G.
Did I stretch to get the words to fit my anagram? Maybe here and there. However, the principles stand the same. If you want your fundraising to work, then make sure you are doing all of them.
