Bob Treash joined GiveSmart™ in January 2013, through a business combination between GiveSmart™ and Bob’s former company, AuctionsByCellular Productions (ABCP). During 2012 at ABCP, a licensee of GiveSmart’s service platform, Bob worked with business partner Dan Rohn to successfully introduce GiveSmart’s benefits to the US market. Bob’s involvement with mobile solutions for non-profit fundraising predates both GiveSmart and ABCP. As pioneers in the industry in 2008, Bob and Dan developed & delivered early mobile technologies specifically designed to manage silent auctions, maximize fundraising revenues and provide an interactive experience for patrons and donors at fundraising events. Specifically, Bob helped develop a text-bidding platform in 2010 and then introduced this new technology to the non-profit industry.
Taking the next step, Bob formed ABCP in 2011 with Dan in order to license GiveSmart’s robust service platform for the US market. Bob has a deep passion for helping non-profits and building lasting relationships. He brings this passion and a wealth of contacts & context to his efforts as GiveSmart’s Key Strategic Relations Officer. In this role, Bob is responsible for identifying opportunities with nationwide non-profit organizations seeking a common mobile solution experience at all their events and with third-party entities that serve this market such as social media innovators, auctioneers, and merchandizers.
Bob also spearheads structuring the resulting business relationships to benefit all parties in service to maximizing non-profit fundraising. Prior to his role as a non-profit fundraising innovator, Bob spent over 15 years in the telecommunications industry, holding positions as National Sales Manager and Major Accounts Marketer to incumbent local exchange carriers, mobile carriers, and competitive local exchange carriers including AT&T, GTE and Verizon. He helped build one of the largest privately held telecommunications company in the US to annual revenues in excess of $100,000,000. A family man, Bob resides in Indianapolis with his wife, parents to two young adult children. Bob earned a BA in Management at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois on a golf scholarship and remains an avid golfer.
